Dataton Integrates NDI® in Watchout Multi-display Software
Dataton, maker of leading multi-display software and media server systems, has announced integration of NewTek NDI® support for Watchout multi-display software in the version 6.2 release. Watchout is an end-to-end solution to compose multi-display programming, manage all media assets and playout shows. NewTek’s royalty-free NDI technology allows video and audio sources to be shared bi-directionally across a network, eliminating the need for costly direct connections, expensive cable runs, and infrastructure upgrades while turning every source into a destination instantly available anywhere on the network.

By utilising NewTek’s NDI protocol, live high-quality professional video streams can be distributed across the network and included in a Watchout show like any other media source. This effectively reduces hardware costs as well as on-site headaches for show operators.
Since its release, NDI has become the most prolific IP workflow technology for video production, with hundreds of products in the hands of millions of users.
