How to Get Premium Access for TriCaster® TC1

The main purpose for NewTek Connect Spark™ is to convert SDI or HDMI video signals to NDI® to send as IP video on the computer network via Ethernet or WiFi. From there, the video source can be used by multiple devices and applications all at the same time. But Connect Spark and NDI offer much more: you can also capture and record your HDMI or SDI video in several ways.
NewTek Connect Spark is a standalone recording system. Simply connect a USB drive or put in a micro SD card, and you can instantly capture video for an ISO recording of your video source right at the point of acquisition. On the Admin tab of the web-based interface for the Connect Spark, you can set the options for recording. Among these, when the recording device is full, you can set to stop recording, or you can choose to overwrite the oldest files, for fail-safe loop recording.
The Manage button opens the Manage Recordings panel that allows you to access these recorded files over the network without having to remove the drive or the SD card from Connect Spark.
Another alternative is that you can use NewTek’s freely available NDI Studio Monitor or NewTek NDI IsoCorder™ applications on any networked system to record the NDI stream from Connect Spark. You can do this in addition to recording on Connect Spark itself, and gain extra protection for your content with redundant copies of your raw video for archiving.
For a production with many Connect Spark and other NDI sources on the network, the NewTek NDI IsoCorder Pro commercial application is available and can capture up to 16 video sources.
